The questions are endless: Do you choose one large piece? Multiple smaller ones?

How can I make it not look busy? But also not spend a ton of money on extra large art pieces? Should I use free printables? Or something else?

So today, we're going to take that question and share lots of ideas in all budgets for large wall decor ideas for a living room!

What Can I Hang on a Large Wall in my Living Room?

The sky is really the limit, but here are some of my favorite large wall art ideas…

Carved panels are a cost effective way to add interest and texture to a large wall.

  • On these panels, intricate, ornate hand-carved flowers and acanthus designs flow throughout the wood-like MDF panels.
  • They're painted with a soft eggshell color with a distressed finish and are perfect for traditional and transitional home styles.

A large mirror is one of my favorite ideas for large wall decor ideas for living room, family rooms, bedrooms and more!

This one has a gorgeous rustic look, and I love the contrast of the aged wood with the darker bar.

A gallery wall is a great way to fill a blank wall. It can be as small or as large as you'd like.

I like to intersperse family photos with art and small mirrors to add interest.

In this post, I share all about how I created this gallery wall over our stairwell.

This set of seven frames is available in white, brown and black, and is a good, inexpensive starting point for your gallery wall.

Currently, these frames are less than $32 and ship free with Prime. They are very similar to the ones I used on my own gallery wall.

Wall art printables are a simple and affordable way to decorate your home!

And with this set, you don't even have to stress over what colors and patterns look good together. This comes in a set of nine and would be a great way to fill a large empty wall.

Modern, printable abstract wall art will make an impact on any wall.

With a color scheme of green teal, mustard yellow and pink, this trendy, yet minimalist, set will look great on any empty wall.

Sometimes, using multiple canvases is a good way to fill a large, empty wall.

I love this set of three from Wayfair! The colors are so beautiful and serene.

Love the canvas idea, but looking for something more budget friendly?

This set ships free and is inexpensive, while looking much more high-end! Love the shades of white, turquoise and browns in this canvas set.

I love the clean and simple lines of these botanical plant wall art prints.

You can frame and hang them all together to fill a large space, or separate them to fill several smaller walls.

Bonus: they're currently super inexpensive right now, making them a budget friendly way to add a modern touch to your space.

  • This large metal wall decor consists of 12 gray tiles with plant illustrations in wood frame.
  • It's the perfect complement to natural, minimalist, and farmhouse style spaces.

Just download, print and frame (or simply hang with washi tape) for easy and cheap wall decor and gifts!

Consider this idea for large, empty walls: Gather some floating shelves and hang them along with some favorite canvases or wall art pieces!

If you are having a hard time finding art you like in a large size, pairing what you have with floating shelves can help fill up wall space (and also gives you room to display favorite picture frames, plants, figurines and momentos).

If you have an empty wall and are looking for easy ideas, this is a great place to start!

You'll find lots of wooden signs, vintage pieces, and unusual wall art ideas.

Consider thrift stores and even ebay to find some of these unique pieces.

Love the simple, minimalist style of these cactus styles in white frames.

They'd make the perfect grouping for a bedroom, living or dining room.
